Brenda Kay Barber Newcomb, 63, passed into God's hands Monday, March 23, 2015.
She served in the United States Army and work for Southern Bell for a short while. Ms. Newcomb was a resident of the Rye Patch near Ludowici, GA. She enjoyed going to the river, loving her canine companions and spending time at home. She also lived in Germany, and was able to visit Amsterdam and Paris. Ms. Newcomb was predeceased by her mother, Bobbie Mae Spence Barber and her brother, Grover Earl "Barber" Johnson.

Ms. Newcomb is survived by her husband, Leo Olguin of Ludowici, GA; son, Jeremiah Newcomb of Savannah, GA; father, Harold Barber and his wife, Mary of Newnan, GA; sister, Sandra Barber Lewis of Statesboro, GA; brothers, Spence Barber and his wife, Marla of Carey, OH and Keith Barber and his wife, Patti of Statesboro, GA; granddaughter, C. J. McMichael; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, March 27, 2015 in Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 28, 2015 in Friendship Baptist Church with Reverend Tom Osborn and Dr. H. William Perry officiating.
Burial will be held privately in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lannie Lanier, Stevie Tanner, Jeff Spence, Kevin Spence, Les Spence and Stacy Spence.
